What’s This Staples Settlement About
The lawsuit alleges that Lenovo engaged in a deceptive pricing scheme related to computers and tablets sold on its website, by portraying fictitious “Instant Savings” or “eCoupon” discounts.
Lenovo denies that it violated the law or that its practices were wrongful in any way, but has agreed to settle the case to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation.
To qualify, you must have purchased a computer or tablet from Lenovo’s website, other than a “ThinkPad” branded product, between December 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015.
You also need a Unique ID/Claimant ID that was sent by email to those eligible. Check your spam folder in case you have missed it.
How Much Do I Get?
The proposed settlement will pay $50 for each computer or tablet purchased from Lenovo’s website. To receive your $50 payment, you must submit a claim by June 26, 2017.
