Update: The signup bonus is even higher this month. You can get $35 with the same requirements. Sign up here if interested.
Chime representatives reached out to me with an offer for our readers to get a small bonus when signing up for an account. They offered a $5 sign-up bonus initially for new members but were happy to double it when I forfeited my affiliate bonus. Here’s some information about Chime and how to get the bonus.
What Is Chime
Chime first came out as a prepaid/reloadable card but it has been since transformed into a full service FDIC insured bank account that offers both a Spending Account and a Savings Account. Read more about that switch here. They also offer deals similar to Amex Offers, but there’s not been many good ones lately.
$10 Sign Up Bonus
Right now Danny the Deal Guru readers can get a $10 sign up bonus just for signing up for an account and making an opening deposit. That’s the only requirement. You need to sign up through this special link that Chime set up for us. New members will need to enroll by June 30th to take advantage of this offer.
As mentioned above, I negotiated a better deal for our readers and I do not receive anything when you open an account. I will receive $10 however for every new member that sets up direct deposit. You don;t need to set up direct deposit to receive your $10 bonus though, you just need to open an account with Chime.
This matches the highest bonus they have offered on the card. I already have an account myself and I’ve been a member for over two years now. I take advantage of some of their offers occasionally and hopefully we’ll see some good ones again. Here’s what’s currently in the Rewards section:
