The 5% cash back calendar is now showing on Chase Freedom Accounts. Here’s what’s included:
- January – March 2017
- Gas Stations (Excludes merchants that do not specialize in gas sales)
- Commuter Transportation such as taxis, subways, local commuter buses and trains (Excludes parking, tolls, and Amtrak purchases)
- April – June 2017
- Grocery Stores (Excludes Walmart and Target purchases)
- Drug Stores (Excludes locations which may contain an onsite pharmacy, for example, warehouse clubs, discount stores)
Remember that you need to activate each quarter to earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases in that quarter’s bonus categories. Activation is not available yet.
Remember that you still have two weeks to take advantage of the current bonus categories for Q4 of 2016 which includes Department Stores, Drug Stores and Wholesale Clubs such as Costco, BJ’s and Sam’s Club.
If you don’t have the card, you can sihn up and get $150 after $500 spend in 3 months. You can also earn an extra $25 after you add your first authorized user and make a purchase within your first 3 months from account opening.
