Back in March JetBlue released 4 new co-branded credit cards. We covered that news on a previous post and you can read more there to see the benefits of each card. If you’re lazy, then I’ll tell you that the JetBlue Plus card is the best option with 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in 90 days.
But apparently there’s a cool trick for those who had already booked flights on JetBlue previous to applying for a JetBlue credit card. These are relatively new cards after all.
TPG writes that you can call in and have a previous charge refunded and then have it charged on your new JetBlue credit card. With the JetBlue Plus card you earn 6x points on JetBlue purchases and with a valuation of about 1.5 cents a point, that’s ~9% back. Hard to beat with any other card.
So if you already have a flight planned with JetBlue, call them at (800) 538-2583 and ask them to charge it to your JetBlue card. Make sure the previous charge that will be refunded, doesn’t put you under a spending requirement threshold that you might have been working on at the time.
