Chase has added a new travel partner to its Ultimate Rewards program, Air France KLM Flying Blue. This is not a game changer but as I always say, it’s good news when travel partners are added since it open up more opportunities. Flying Blue already is a travel partner of Citi ThankYou, Amex Membership Rewards and SPG. With Flying Blue miles you can book SkyTeam flights, like those on Delta (avoid fuel surcharges), Air France, Alitalia.
The transfer rate is 1:1 and points are supposed to be transferred instantly. You need to transfer a minimum of 1,000 UR points and in increments of 1,000 after that. With that said, you probably want to transfer MR or ThankYou points to Flying Blue, since Chase UR are more valuable for most people.
After this announcement, Air France KLM Flying Blue becomes the third airline program that accepts transfers from the major 4 currencies; SPG, UR, MR and TYP. Singapore Krisflyer and Virgin Atlanticare the other two.
