Chase has raised their referral bonuses for their Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Ink Plus cards to 10,000 UR points. The usual referral rate is 5,000 per referral, so this doubles the usual rate.
The total limit of points that can be earned from referrals for each card is still 50,000 bonus points per calendar year, so you can refer 5 friends to get the maximum allowed.
Now it might be a good time to apply for some Chase cards since it’s expected to become much harder to get approved in the following months. Chase has a 5 cards per 24 months rule that applies to Chase branded UR earning personal credit cards. But business cards and co-branded cards are expected to be included as well. So 5 of those cards in 24 months is very restrictive.
Chase Sapphire and Chase Ink Plus have some nice sign up bonuses. Remember that Chase combines two personal card applications into one hard pull. You can use my links if you’re planning to apply and it would greatly appreciated.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred (55K UR with AU $4,000 in spend)
- Chase Ink Plus (60K UR after $5,000 in spend)
How to get referral links
If you have these cards already than you can get your own referral links. Here’s how to check (for any Chase card, not just these two):
- Go to Chase Refer-A-Friend
- Enter Last Name, Zip and Last 4 digits of card number
- Click Twitter as sharing option and copy referral link
You can post you referral links links in the comments.
