Citi Executive Card Adds Admirals Club Access For Authorized Users

American Airlines and Citi have expanded the benefits of the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard by providing Admirals Club access to authorized users.

This is a surprising addition to the card’s perks. It surely adds value to the $450 annual fee, considering that adding authorized users comes with no charge, but some might see it as devaluing Admirals Clubs by overcrowding them.

The primary cardmember can bring as guest(s) either immediate family (spouse, domestic partner and/or children under 18 years of age) or up to two traveling guests. This is now available to authorized users as well, even when not traveling with the primary cardholder.

I’m not sure if there’s a limit on how many authorized users you can add to your Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard, but you’re able to add at least 4-5. Any more data points on that would be appreciated.

One restriction for the authorized users is that they can only access American Airlines Admirals Club lounges. This is still a huge upgrade. At Admirals Club lounges you can enjoy complimentary:

Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard® cardmembers have long enjoyed Admirals Club® access and now for the first time, authorized users on the account will too, even when traveling alone.

As of today, authorized users will have access to more than 50 Admirals Club lounge locations from Boston to Beijing. While relaxing in the comfort and convenience of the Admirals Club® lounges, they can enjoy complimentary drinks, light snacks, Wi-Fi, power outlets, and personal travel assistance. Select locations even offer shower suites, PCs with internet access, print services and more.

If not accompanied by the primary cardmember, authorized users must present their valid Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard® along with his or her current government-issued I.D. There is no fee to add an authorized user to a card account.

With the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard, cardmembers also enjoy a Global Entry or TSA Precheck application fee credit and other benefits.
