Earn up to 30,000 AAdvantage Miles When You Go Solar

The American Airlines AAdvantage Program is offering up to a 30,000 miles bonus when you install solar panels on your home and sign a solar power system lease or loan. Even if you do not want to convert to solar power, you can still earn 5,000 miles just for having a solar specialist show you a solution for your home, provided you qualify.

The Offer

  • Earn 5,000 miles just for having a solar specialist show you a solution for your home, provided you qualify
  • Then earn an additional 25,000 miles when you decide to install solar panels on your home and sign a solar power system lease or loan

To earn 5,000 miles in your AAdvantage account, you must meet NRG Home Solar’s credit requirements, own a solar-feasible roof and complete an in-person consultation with an NRG Home Solar specialist. To earn 25,000 miles in your AAdvantage account, you must have NRG Home Solar equipment successfully installed on your roof and agree to a solar power system lease or loan.

I think I might set up an appointment to get the 5,000 points and if it makes sense to switch, then maybe go ahead with the installation. I’ve been interested in solar power but I have no idea on what savings I would get and how much the initial set up would cost. This has to make sense financially first and the 25,000 bonus miles should be just a small reward.
