Amex Offers is offering a $5 credit when you spend $15 or more with the Uber app. The offer is valid until 7/25/2015. Uber has a few different offers going on. If you sign up with a referral you get $20. I don’t have a referral link, I have yet to use Uber. But if someone has a referral link, you’re welcome to share it in the comments below.
I only see the offer on my Amex OBC, but I don’t see the offer on my business credit cards that I have, the Gold and Platinum. The offer is not on the online Bluebird accounts that I have.
The offer can only be added on to your card by logging into your account and is not available through Twitter. Use the multiple browser trick if you have more than one card on the same online account.
If you are enrolled in American Express’ program with Uber, you do not earn additional Membership Rewards® points on the portion of the fare covered by the $5 statement credit. In order to be eligible, you must use your enrolled Card as the credit card on file for your Uber account to pay Uber $15 or more for a single ride by 7/25/15. See uber.com for information on how to sign up for an Uber account. If you apply a promo code or Uber credit toward your payment for the ride, you will only receive the statement credit if the remaining balance is $15 or more. Offer is non-transferable. Offer not available for redemption when you select to “Use Points” in the Uber app to redeem points for a ride. Offer not valid on UberT in New York City, or other services in which payment does not occur via Uber’s app. For Amex Every Day Card products, extra points awarded for this offer do not count for the Extra Points Benefit. Only valid for rides taken in the US. If you receive a replacement card during the offer, and use that card to enroll, you must update your card on file within the Uber app to receive the statement credit. Enrollment is limited. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express online account. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 7/25/15, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from the merchant until all of the items from your qualifying purchase have been provided. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.
