SPG is again running the same promo they had a few months back where you can earn 10,000 Starpoints if you spend $10,000 until 12/15/16. The promo is targeted but looks like it was emailed to a lot of people. The promo is for the SPG business card only. If you don’t have an email, you can check this link to see if you are targeted. You will need to log into your SPG Business card account and register for the promo. Even if it says you’re not targeted, try calling in and they might be able to add the promo to your account over the phone.
I already did my spending for the last promo and received the bonus Starpoints. When I try to log in the link above, it tells me that I am already registered for the promo, so if you already took advantage of this offer you’re probably not able to repeat it. I’ll have to check on that though. (Update: Rep said that I’m not eligible since I already received the bonus.)
Earn 5,000 Starpoints after you spend $5,000 in qualifying purchases using your Card. Plus, earn an additional 5,000 Starpoints (for a total of 10,000 bonus Starpoints) after you spend an additional $5,000 (for a total of $10,000) in qualifying purchases on your Card.
So this is basically 2 Starpoint per dollar if you spend $5,000 or $10,000. These are very valuable points, often well over 2 cents a piece, so this will make sense for lots of people looking to stay at SPG properties or even transfer them to travel partners.
